Patricia A. Caristo is a professional investigator with thirty years of investigative experience: eight years as an investigator with the Philadelphia Police Department, five years as a a detective at the University of New Mexico Police Department, five years as a special agent an intelligence analyst with the New Mexico Organized Crime Prevention Commission, and fifteen years as a licensed private investigator and director of NIA/NM - a non-profit investigations agency offering pro-bono service to victims and/or families of violent crimes and crimes involving the elderly.

The city of Philadelphia and the Philadelphia Police Department commended Policewoman Caristo for heroism, and she was inducted into the Chapel Of The Four Chaplains Legion of Honor. The Philadelphia Police Department and the University of New Mexico Police Department awarded her commendations for meritorious performance, and several of her private investigation cases were profiled in print and broadcast media.

Pat has developed expertise in complex criminal and civil investigations and case analysis, is a certified crime prevention specialist, and has developed and taught continuing-education classes at the University of New Mexico, New Mexico Law Enforcement Academy, and the University of New Mexico Law and Medical Schools, with emphasis on sex-crimes investigation.

Current and/or past professional membership and affiliation include: ASIS - American Society for Industrial Security - past member of the ASIS National Standing Committee On Investigation, member/officer/liaison of the New Mexico Chapter (in 1997, as a member of ASIS, Pat was one of several Albuquerque security professionals chosen to provide a courtesy security for General Colin Powell); New Mexico Private Investigators Association, and New Mexico Crime Prevention Association.
